James Morley-Smith has a user account within Twitter, it came to his attention that Stephen Fry who has publicly talked about Twitter on the ‘Friday Night Show with  Jonathan Ross’ who both have Twitter accounts and massive number of followers with Fry in the lead with 227,098 followers  all opted in to receive updates on statuses used to live on the same street as him.

Morley-Smith took the initiative to update Fry with the following tweet: “@stephenfry tell me to FO but would you mind sharing http://bit.ly/hayq? If for no other reason than I 2 used to live in Stanley Ave-No.28!”

About an hour later Morley-Smith sent out the following tweet;  “@stephenfry Thank U so much. Many sponsors already + a lot of hits, great 4 the awareness. 4 any 1 interested, an update http://bit.ly/PrLy”

Morley-Smith who has only 68 followers compared to the massive number of Fry saw the funds double from £2000 – £4000 for his justgiving campaign.
